Wendy Williams’ Niece Accused of “Kidnapping” Her
The Manhattan assisted living facility Wendy Williams had been staying in is accusing her niece, Alex Finnie, of “kidnapping” her by taking her out to dinner without permission.
Williams, who had been undergoing a psychiatric evaluation at the facility, was not allowed to leave the memory unit without elevator access from the fifth floor.
The facility staff claimed that Finnie evaded them and took Williams out to dinner, prompting them to contact the NYPD and file a police report. Williams and Finnie returned from dinner to find police called to the facility, with Finnie stating that the Coterie accused her of taking her aunt without confirmation or approval.
Williams described the situation as “unbelievable” and defended her niece, stating they are now “back in one piece” after the incident.
