Cynthia Erivo Thinks Ariana Grande Should Be Nominated For An Oscar

The 97th annual Academy Awards announced their list of nominees, with films like A Complete Unknown, Nickel Boys, The Brutalist, The Last Showgirl, and Babygirl expected to lead the charge for Best Picture. Cynthia Erivo, star of the history-making musical Wicked, expects recognition for her co-star Ariana Grande and herself, stating she will cause a commotion if Grande doesn’t get her due. Erivo, an EGOT nominee, is missing an Oscar from her awards collection, having already won a TONY, GRAMMY, and EMMY for previous works, and she has a shot to add an Oscar after being nominated for her role in Wicked. Ariana Grande, already a Grammy winner, portrayed “Glinda” in Wicked and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globe Awards. The Academy shared the list of nominees for the Oscars this year and Ariana is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.
