TikTok Asks Court to Delay U.S. Ban
Last week, a federal appeals court upheld a law that could ban TikTok in the U.S. Now TikTok is hoping to delay it. The ban is currently set to go into effect on Jan. 19th. But TikTok has asked the court to delay it until the case can be reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court. If the ban sticks, TikTok will have to divest from its Chinese parent company Bytedance in order to continue operating in the U.S.
